OUT OF THIS WORLD GEMSTONE COMBINATIONS
When you go into a jewelry store or browse on line for a piece of jewelry, some of the most common gemstone combination's you will see are diamonds set with pearls, rubies, emeralds and sapphires.
However, if you are thinking about acquiring a unique piece of jewelry for yourself, think outside the box of what is tradition and consider some spectacular gemstone options.
There is an incredible variety of gemstones that can be combined to create a unique masterpiece. You will be amazed to discover the unbelievable combination's. Look at the colors in your wardrobe and see what combination's you wear that can inspire you.
Clear stones can be combined with opaque or translucent stones. Gemstones that have natural inclusions can be combined with clear stones.
Gemstones of similar colors can be set together to compliment or enhance each color, i.e. lime green peridot with emeralds, light blue aquamarine with sky blue topaz, pink tourmaline with rubies.
One of my favorite stones is moonstone. It can be combined with opals and sapphires for a truly magical combination. One of the intriguing features of moonstone is the stone's shimmer--the magical glow that glides across the surface of the stone (a.k.a adularescence) when combined with an opal with its brilliant flashes of color or the sparkle and blue of a sapphire--makes for a stunning and radiant piece of jewelry that will certainly command its fair share of compliments.
Be flamboyant, adventurous, free-spirited
and have fun in exploring all the dimensions of gemstones' colors.
CANDACE GRECO JEWELRY
I am a designer who has always had the inclination to create jewelry....finding shells, pinecones and rosebuds as a child, I found myself stringing them into necklaces!
After studying extensively at The Jewelry Arts Studio and with Cecelia Bauer( both in Manhattan) and with Kate Wolfe, master wax designer, among others, I find my greatest joy in working with high karat gold, mostly 18 karat, and sterling silver, along with a wide variety of gems. I travel annually to Jaipur,India to select stones, research design ideas and soak up all I can from Jaipur's 200,000 families associated with the jewelry world.
I have a substantial photo library of custom creations, as well as customer testimonials, such as : "Candace not only helped me to define the design I had in mind - but couldn't quite articulate - she persevered in completing the work exactly as I desired...better than I could have imagined or hoped for!! It was a joy to work with her and she is delightful to have as a designer and a friend." - Mary Sottilare (repeat customer!)Candace Greco of Candace Greco Jewelry
SMP's Beads has joined Ruby Plaza with the experience of running a specialty bead shop for 17 years and designing beautiful jewelry. After watching how things were going with online bead sales, we decided to create this shop to be able to introduce unique products to a wider audience so the discriminating customer who is looking for quality beads and components can have something different to choose from. SMP will be selling beads on strands, loose beads, gemstones, pendants, seed beads, other fabulous components and findings. Rare but small lots of trade beads, mixed vintage components and bead ensembles will also be offered.
Customers who are seeking unusual artisan made jewelry or vintage beaded pieces for their collection will surely be delighted with SMP's selection. Other pieces that will be for sale will include Bakelite bangles, celluloid and other phenolic plastics in jewelry. SMP's beads will be a treasure trove for the creative individual!
Our goal is to acquire the discriminating customer who appreciates quality merchandise from a knowledgeable seller, exceptional customer service and support along with a lovely presentation, packaging, prompt response and timely delivery. We are looking forward to your patronage and know you will choose to come back again to shop with us!Susan Pacitto of SMP's Beads
