Skype allows buyers and sellers to communicate in real time if they choose via instant messaging, audio and/or video, while the buyer browses the site.   BOTTLED UP DESIGNS - JEWELRY ARTISAN SHOP ON RUBY LANE

  
  My name is Laura Bergman, and I have lived in the Pennsylvania Amish Country my whole life. I am also a life-long collector of antique glass and bottles. Much of this old glass is found so commonly in the countless old glass dumps scattered throughout the wooded habitats and farmlands in this beautiful part of the country, and are now a treasure trove for collectors.

  What really began my unique business was one day, while on a search in the woods for another treasure for my windowsill, I spied a mother doe and her baby fawn laying nearby. Once they caught scent of me they were up and away and I was horrified to see that the baby fawn had been laying on the jagged remains of a broken bottle. I was totally struck that day at the impact all the broken remains left behind have had on the environment and the wildlife that call it home.

  I decided to do something better. Now setting out on a new mission with this glass, I reclaim the broken remains, and have created a stunning line of jewelry from this reclaimed antique glass, Bottled Up Designs.
  
  
  

  As a life long collector, I quickly realized how people loved hearing the story behind what they were wearing, and developed a system with my glass so each and every piece includes "The Story of the Glass" detailing what each piece was originally and the age of the glass. It has become a truly unique way to "Preserve History, While Helping the Future".

  ENCHANTED HEN - JEWELRY ARTISAN SHOP ON RUBY PLAZA

  
  Enchanted Hen Egg Art is produced in my home studio, up in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico, USA.
  
  Each piece is individually hand-decorated using the batik (wax and dye) method. The design itself may take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on the complexity, and the entire process takes several weeks to complete.
  
  The ostrich eggshell piece is about 2mm in thickness. It is coated on all sides with a hard finish to strengthen the shell and enhance the colors. It can be cleaned or polished with a soft cloth without scratching the surface.
  
  All components are purchased locally, in New Mexico. The ostrich eggs come from a ranch in Tucumcari, and the sterling silver findings come from Albuquerque, and are manufactured in the USA.
  
  Handcrafted individually, no two pieces of ostrich egg shell jewelry are exactly alike. The bright colors are striking with any color hair, and the earrings would go equally well with a dark business suit or a favorite casual shirt. No matter how you decide to wear them, you will be sure to receive lots of compliments on this enchanting jewelry.

  LAGUANA BEACH FINE ARTIST RACHEL UCHIZONO

  
  My name is Rachel Uchizono and I am an artist living in Laguna Beach, California. I paint Plein Air, which means to paint landscapes on location. Laguna Beach has a rich tradition of plein air painting. Many great painters have set up their easel and painted Laguna locations that remain unchanged. William Wendt, Edger Payne and Hanson Puthuff to name a few of the great artists that founded the original Laguna Beach art colony in the 1920's. My paintings are of canyons, eucalyptus trees and seascapes. In my studio I paint my stuffed peacock, flowers from my garden and persimmons. I have exhibited at Studio 7 Gallery for 11 years and exhibited at the Sawdust Festival for 8 years. Offered for sale at my gallery are my paintings as I paint them.
  
  The painting - Ocean View - 30 x 40 oil on canvas, signed by the artist. Portuguese Bend in the spring is my favorite place to paint. There is an artist colony living in this rural area and they are very generous with the best spots to paint! The wildflowers are everywhere and the Eucalyptus trees are incredible with the ocean peeking through!
