JEWELRY ARTISAN SHOP SPOTLIGHT: FELICITY JEWELRY DESIGNS

Felicity can been defined as, "source of happiness/joy and of pleasing style and expression". It is my goal that each piece of jewelry I create is a vivid representation of this.

I have been designing and creating jewelry for several years. As a Ruby Lane Shop Owner (since February 2007), I have sold over 800 handcrafted jewelry creations. It has been a thrill and an honor to interact with and sell my pieces to people from around the world (e.g, Australia, Canada, Europe and USA).

My jewelry pieces are now on display and can be purchased from the "Tangles Salon and Boutique of Edmond" - a beautiful and well appointed boutique.

I insist on working with quality materials to ensure that the finished piece is beautiful and can endure regular wear for years to come. My pieces will include precious metals, natural antiqued brass, precious and semi-precious Gemstones, Swarovski Crystals, Artisan Created Beads, Quality Glass Beads, Genuine Murano Glass, Thai Silver Balinese Silver and Natural Antiqued Brass.

I have recently begun to explore Precious Metal Clay. I find this medium to be inspiring and I have thoroughly enjoyed creating new jewelry with it. Precious Metal Clay becomes Fine Silver (.999 Pure Silver) following a rigorous process of rolling, stamping, firing, burnishing, tumbling and antiquing. I am happy to display such pieces in my shop and look forward to adding many more.

Each piece is thoroughly and truthfully described and I am careful to reference the many talented Glass Artisans whose stunning artwork I incorporate into my creations.

JEWELRY ARTISAN SPOTLIGHT: SARAH MARCUS

Hello, my name is Sarah, and I am so glad you are visiting Wire and Stone Jewelry.

I am proud to offer my exceptional fine metal jewelry to you! I am a self taught jewelry designer and have been making jewelry since 2001. I started creating wire sculptured jewelry and then fell in love with chain maille, when I completed an earring kit. I have not put my pliers down since. In the past, I have enjoyed teaching classes on wire technique and tools, passing on the love of wire to others.

I enjoy using several wire techniques and incorporating them into a single jewelry piece. I create with several techniques including wire wrapping, wire fusing and chain maille. Chain maille is an intriguing, fun and intricate method in creating jewelry. Small jump rings are joined together in specific patterns to create chains or sheet. I believe a well executed chain can be a wonderful adornment.

In the Winter of 2008, I added wire wrapped designs to my jewelry offerings. The intricacy and detail of these pieces make them thrilling to create and even more marvelous to wear. This jewelry includes beautiful Sterling Silver and Gold Filled Wire Wrapped components accented by Semi-Precious gemstone and metal beads.

The majority of my jewelry is created using gold filled*, sterling silver, and Argentium sterling silver* jump rings and wire. Each jump ring I use is created by hand from wire. I hand coil, saw cut, and polish each ring to ensure the quality of my chains. All chain maille components are handmade, each ring opened and closed by me. I love to use semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, and handmade lamp-work glass beads in my jewelry designs. I find great joy in creating custom pieces for my customers. Customers can choose colors or metals to match items in their wardrobe or for a special occasion outfit.

FINE ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: LYNNE GREEN

In 1998, the road turned for me. After a lifetime in the creative fields of writing, stage directing and documentary video, an unexpected permanent disability challenged me to reinvent myself. With the generous help of Vocational Rehabilitation and the support of a handful of exceptional friends, I was able to grow new strengths, learn new skills and gradually regain independence.

Designing jewelry and creating Photo/Art have become my new mediums for self-expression. I love the immediacy of using my hands to build an object of my imagination; love holding the tangible results. It's breathtaking to witness someone wearing something I passionately poured the trinity of 'mind/body/soul' into and I hope you will find beauty and joy in my things, too.

I like to mix various materials in my jewelry, but I primarily use gemstones, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver as the base for my designs.

For my PhotoArt work, I shoot in digital format; occasionally tinker in PhotoShop; print using premium Epson papers and inks, then sometimes embellish the photo with other materials. Botanical's are my primary subject.

My designs have been purchased by the world-renowned Missouri Botanical Garden for sale in their gift shop; and by Paraquad, an independent living center for people with disabilities, for permanent exhibit in their gallery.

I was commissioned to do the photos for the set of Christopher Reeve's tv remake of the movie "Rear Window."

Customer satisfaction is of primary importance to me, so if you are displeased with any aspect of your purchase, I will do my best to resolve it or refund your money in full.

I live with my support dog, Hank, in St. Louis.
